Lucy Farnan

Hi! I’m Lucy

After completing my previous college course in health and social care, I was looking for the next step in my life. Something fun yet challenging. After spending 5 years in the RAF Air Cadets, I decided that a career in children and young people was definitely the place for me… Then along came MOOSCC! MOOSCC has allowed me to gain hands on experience in working with younger children, and all of the chaotic yet loveable challenges that come along with them. I have just started my journey with the club, but I’m so excited to progress and grow! I’m especially looking forward to completing training to become more qualified in this rewarding field.

When I’m not at the club, I’m with my friends, or running after my dog, Nelly!

Lucy Kleppang

Hi, I’m Lucy K…

After finishing high school in June I was looking for a job during the summer. I found MOOSCC and thought it would be a perfect match, as I was starting University in September to do Psychology and I was really interested in getting some experience of working with children to find out what field on psychology I wanted to go further in. I started working at MOOSCC in the summer and enjoyed building bonds with the children and learning how to interact with them, as I do not have many children in my family anymore. I found it really rewarding seeing the children progress and after the summer was finished I decided I definitely wanted to stay on and continue working at MOOSCC, as the staff and kids create such a welcoming environment. Besides working at MOOSCC I love to spend time with my 4 small dogs and my friends. I also really enjoy art and I often take charge of the art activities at MOOSCC and pass on skills I had learnt throughout my time at school.

Katharine Reid

Hi, I’m Katharine.

I am currently studying Nursing at University in Dundee. I joined MOOSCC in summer 2023 after working in Seaview Primary School as an SPSA for over 2 years. I love interacting with all the children, watching them grow into their own little personalities and most importantly having good fun while at the club!

I really enjoy working with the team and all the activities and trips that are planned for the children, especially during the holidays. There is nothing better than seeing the children with a big smile on their face.

Nathan Lynch

Hi, I’m Nathan

I am taking a year out after completing high school and I am really excited about working at MOOSCC. I decided to take a gap year as I was unsure of what I actually wanted to do but when I reflected on my last year of school I realised my highlights were definitely my experiences working with younger people. I coached Grange Primary’s football team, gave PE lessons to primary classes as part of my sports leadership course, and my work as house captain meant I was always getting younger pupils involved with events at school. So, I saw MOOSCC as the perfect fit and opportunity for me to develop my skills and enjoy my gap year. I’m loving working here and I’m really looking forward to the future. My hobbies are football, running, playing music and I love hanging out with my two baby nieces.

Nairn Low

Hi I’m Nairn. I recently left school in the Summer 23 after studying my higher exams. I gained English and P.E I am currently at the Gardyne Dundee and Angus college studying Sports Coaching.

Next year I wish to continue my education in America by doing a scholarship. I will be studying sports business in Florida, on top of that get to play football across there. I love football, I play for a junior team, Broughty United, and am currently on loan at Dundee St. James Juniors to further my development as a player.

In my spare time I love to go out with my friends, go to the football, go out for food and shopping. I train twice a week with my football teams and play a game every Saturday.

The reason I applied for MOOSCC is because I love to work with kids. I think I connect with children very well and like to see them succeed. For a profession I want to coach kid’s football. I think Mooscc will help my understanding of children better and be good for me to interact with them and get as much experience as I can.

Julie Hutchison

Hi my name is Julie. I started working at the club in October 2023 and I’m really enjoying it. Some may know me from the school crossing at Seaview but I wanted a change.
When I am not working I enjoy walking my dog Dougal.
I have a son who attends MOOSCC and he really enjoys it, especially the snacks.

I have recently done my first aid course which was interesting and I look forward to more learning.
I enjoy working with all the children and getting to know them better.

Georgia Kleppang

Hi, my name is Georgia. I just started working at MOOSCC around August 2023 and in the few months I’ve been here I’ve had so much fun. I am currently doing my HNC in Childhood Practice at college which involves my SVQ Level 3. I’m hoping to go to University next year to study Primary Teaching as the next step of my journey in this field. I decided to start working at MOOSCC as I hope to become a Primary School teacher and I felt that this job would give me lots of experience with working with children, and I was right! Seeing the children grow in confidence all the time is truly inspiring and it’s a very rewarding feeling knowing that I can support the children as they grow up. During my free time, I love playing with my 4 little doggies and I also love art.

Ava Gardiner

Hi, my name is Ava. I recently started working at MOOSCC in February 2024.

I have really enjoyed my time here so far. Last year I attended college to study Art, Fashion and Textiles. I decided I wanted to try something new and explore my career options. I found that working for MOOSCC was a perfect fit, as I am now hoping to attend university in the future for Primary School Education. I still really enjoy art as a hobby and find that these skills come in handy when doing arts and crafts with the children. I have a lot of younger cousins in my family, so I am always babysitting and spending time with them. In my spare time, I like to draw, sew and spend time with my friends and my sister.
