Job Vacancy – Closing date 07/01/2022

Update 30/11/2021

Dear Parents/Carers

We appreciate that these are difficult times for families, however to ensure the club’s financial stability, it was agreed at our A.G.M. on 28th October 2021 to increase the fees.

The fee increase will come in to effect on 1st January 2022.

The revised booking forms were issued to parents/carers on our email dated 30/11/2021 showing these amendments. Please delete any old versions you may have, as these will no longer be accepted.

It is less time consuming for staff if you complete the booking forms electronically, but if you have any difficulty in completing your booking forms online, please let us know so we can try to solve any issues.  The free Microsoft Office app can be downloaded to enable you to complete the forms.

Bookings for 10th to 31st January 2022 will be accepted from Monday 6th December 2021.

We would ask that these bookings be submitted promptly so that we can process and confirm your bookings before the club closes as it is such a busy time of year.

The last date bookings will be accepted for January is Friday 17th December 2021.

The club will be closed on Thursday 23rd December 2021 and re-open on Monday 10th January 2022.

Bookings will open on Tuesday 11th January 2022 for the period 1st to 28th February 2022 which will include in-service days on 10th, 11th and 14th February 2022.

Best regards

Update 02/03/2021

Following this afternoon’s announcement from the Scottish Government, MOOSCC will be able to welcome all our children back to club from Monday 15th March 2021.  Bookings can therefore now be accepted from all parents for the period 15th March to 2nd April 2021.  Before children can attend you will be required to complete a Covid-19 questionnaire which will be issued to you just before their return.

We will shortly be issuing a survey regarding our service provision over the Easter school holidays, so please look out for this and take part so that we can assess the need for childcare over this period.

We look forward to seeing everyone again

Update 15/02/2021

Good afternoon

As you will be aware, the Scottish Government has announced that they are hopefully looking to reopen schools for primary school children in P1-P3 from 22nd February 2021.

However, the guidance issued to childcare services by the Early Learning and Childcare Directorate on 2nd February 2021 states:-

“The current position for school aged childcare settings remains. Only children of key workers and vulnerable children can access school age childcare settings (other than childminding services). When community transmission levels allows, this will be extended to a wider range of children, as part of a phased re-opening of education.”

The full statement can be viewed at https://soscn.org/downloads/news/provider-notice-reopening.pdf

Under these circumstances MOOSCC will remain closed until further notice.

We understand this may be disappointing for some families in need of childcare and we will review our position once any further guidance is received.

Update 13.01.2021

Dear parents and service users

At our meeting on Tuesday 12th January 2021 MOOSCC Management Committee has regrettably decided to close the Club at the end of the session on Wednesday 20th January 2021 until further notice.

This is not a decision that we have taken lightly.

We are currently running the service at a considerable financial loss and we now must do all we can to preserve the future of the club for service users and our staff.

We will continue to monitor the ever-changing situation over the coming weeks as hopefully more information becomes available regarding any possible support from local and central government. We aim to be able to provide our service again in a safe environment as soon as we possibly can.

It is such a difficult time for us all and we appreciate that this closure will cause a great deal of disruption, but we feel that our decision is in the best interests of all our families and staff.

Update 23/12/2020

Due to the demand for school places from key workers from 6th January 2021 being higher than first anticipated, MOOSCC Management Committee have decided to remain open as planned. Angus Council have authorised us to only take bookings from Key Workers whose children have a confirmed place within the school hubs that are already registered with ourselves or are willing to register before a place is needed.

Further information and updates will be posted when possible.

Update 06/08/2020

We are delighted to be able to re-open MOOSCC on 17th August 2020 and we look forward to welcoming everyone back to the Club and seeing the children, old and new.

Undoubtedly there will be challenges ahead and it will be some time before many of our working practices can return to normal, while others may need to change for good.  By continuing to work together we are confident that we will be able to implement the solutions necessary to overcome these.  We will continue to provide regular updates via our newsletter, Facebook and our website.

We intend to re-register every family returning to MOOSCC, as over the last few months people’s circumstances will have changed and we feel that obtaining the most up to date information for you and your child is essential.

The lock down period has been a difficult time for everyone in many ways and for MOOSCC it has had a significant impact on our finances.  We need to make sure our reserves return to their previous level to secure the future stability of the Club, therefore as a result we have had to review our registration and fee structure.

We have increased our registration fee, this being the first increase in seven years.  We are also removing all discounted fees.

The revised registration and booking forms are attached showing these amendments. Please delete any old versions you may have as these will no longer be accepted.

We require you to complete the Return the MOOSCC questionnaire which is also attached.

Bookings can be made now up to 2nd October 2020.  MOOSCC will be closed from 5th to 9th October 2020.

Please also complete your Gift Aid form as this allows us to reclaim 25% of this fee from the Government.

Completed forms should be returned   by 11th August 2020 at the latest to assist us in ascertaining our staffing requirements.

We would prefer the registration fee to be paid by bank transfer if possible as we cannot reclaim the Gift Aid if this is paid by childcare vouchers.

Payment should be made when submitting your registration form.

Bookings fees should be made at least one week in advance by the usual methods, bank transfer or childcare vouchers.

Your bookings will be acknowledged by e-mail, but as staff currently do not have access to scanners, you will not receive a copy by return at this time.

Staff cannot currently advise you of any credit or debit balances but this will be done when staff are back on site from 17th August 2020.

To summarise, for your child to attend MOOSCC from 17th August 2020 we require the following:-

We will provide further information regarding drop off and collection of the children along with revised Club procedures shortly.

Best regards

Now is the time to make your voice heard

If you wish to see the continued running of this fantastic club, then we need your help.  This club is unable to run with out a volunteer committee. The majority of the present parent members of the committee have children reaching high school age and may be looking to leave the committee soon. This will leave the club with the possibility of not being able to run under present charity guidelines.

Monthly Committee dates will be listed below and last no longer than 2 hours. Please come along and see how we operate. All help is welcomed and appreciated.

Please pass the word around and do not forget to check out our FACEBOOK page for more information on what is happening at the club.
